Francesca has been singing professionally for more than 12 years. She studied Drama and English at London University, Goldsmiths’ College and after graduating worked as an actor/musician with the New Cross Theatre Company, performing in such diverse productions as ‘Macbeth’ (London and Italy), Brian Friel’s ‘Translations’ and the British premiere of ‘I’ve Got The Tune’ by Marc Blitzstein. She gained her teaching qualification in 1992 and continues to teach speech, drama and voice. Francesca regularly performs in Central London and has appeared at the following venues: Dover Street Wine Bar (with ‘Roadrunners’), Quaglino’s, The Savoy, The Crown Plaza Hotel, The Carlton Tower Hotel, Greenwich Theatre, The 10 Rooms and Amberley Castle. She has also appeared as a cabaret artist for Bateaux London Dinner Cruises. With her function band ‘Capricorn’, Francesca has entertained at a number of prestigious venues including The Park Lane Hilton Hotel, Lympne Castle, Swarling Manor and Sharsted Court. She has also had the privilege of working with some of the country’s top jazz musicians including, John Etheridge, Julian Marc Stringle, Dave O’Higgins, Derek Nash, Don Rendell, Gunther Kuermayr and Dominic Ashworth. As well as her singing work, Francesca is also an established audio artist and is the ‘voice’ for EDF Energy. Although busy, Francesca still accepts bookings at new venues. With her superb range of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Soul and Pop she is a must for corporate functions, hotels and restaurants, indeed where ever a vocalist of quality is required. She is available to book as part of a duo, trio or quartet but can also provide a full band for major corporate or function work. |
