John is a self trained keyboard player who studied jazz and rock theory at Goldsmiths College London.
He was a regular member of one of Goldsmith’s Big Bands followed by five years in a Lewisham based Big Band which included some of London's leading jazz musicians. Throughout this period he also played with jazz and R&B projects. In 1984 joined the current members of Roadrunners Steve Cox and Dave Bold in the Celtic rock band Traitors Gait, and for 12 years played festivals, concerts and Universities throughout the country. In 1994 he was asked to organise local fundraising gig which brought together the majority of the current members of Roadrunners. |
